Awning or casement windows are better suited to be installed higher than many other windows. This placement allows you to let in natural light and fresh air without having to compromise on wall space and your privacy. If you’re installing windows over a sink, countertop or appliance, a casement window with a crank can be the perfect solution.
Casement windows can simply be pushed open, but most have a hand crank. Screens are placed on the inside of the window, where they’re protected from the elements.
